In a country as big as China, it can be hard to set yourselves apart from the crowd so as to attract the tourists. Everywhere has cool temples, every region has its own interesting cuisine, hell, even the Great Wall spreads itself over 5,000 miles.
So one Chinese nature park decided to construct a truly unique tourist attraction: namely, a “High Musical Glass Plank Road”.
This is curiosity gap marketing at its best, people.
The road is actually a 180m-long glass pathway, constructed on the side of a mountain in the Shiniuzhai nature resort in Hunan province. The walkway is fitted with pressure sensors which play one of 70 different notes and sounds whenever visitors walk across the glass panes.
