The man who spent a night on the roof of Parliament

By Citymetric Staff

This mysterious fellow was spotted on the roof of the Palace of Westminster on Saturday night. He apparently wandered around for about eight hours until early Sunday morning, when he was brought down and charged by police with criminal damage and trespassing on a protected site.

Police have identified the trespasser as 23-year-old Braydon Liam Anderson. It’s still unclear why he was there – a 5,000-strong climate change protest was held outside Westminster during the day on Saturday, but there were no reports of Anderson shouting slogans or holding up a sign while on the roof.

Anderson will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today.
