If you hapeen to pass through Kabukicho, a red-light district in Tokyo, this week, prepare to be terrified. Mounted on the roof of a new hotel and entertainment complex is a 12m bust of Godzilla, protagonist of the 1954 film and all-round terrifying monster.
This is, of course, a publicity stunt, meant to encourage passerby to check out the new Gracery Hotel, owned by Toho, the studio behind the original film and a new reboot due to be released next year. Call us crazy, but we kind of think it’ll do exactly the opposite.
Take this room, yours for £80 a night and complete with a rather unsettling view of the lizard’s furious eye:

Let’s just say you wouldn’t get much sleep. For £200 a night, you can also sleep in room with a giant Godzilla claw smashing through its wall.
Down on the street, however, pedestrians don’t seem particularly bothered by it:
