CityMetric has teamed up with the leading music industry development consultancy Sound Diplomacy to act as media partner on the inaugural Music Cities convention.
The conference, to be held in Brighton, UK, on 13 May 2015, will be the world’s first event to explore the relationship between city planning, economic development and the music industry.
From venue and community space development to education and employment, and licensing and regulation to demographics, music industries impact a number of issues prevalent in city planning and strategy.
Music Cities Convention will bring together the top minds from government, academia and the music industry to discuss, debate and introduce new thinking about ways to develop more vibrant, global cities.
Confirmed speakers include:
- Mark Dafyd – CEO, Music Venues Trust;
- Martin Elbourne – Glastonbury Festival and The Great Escape Festival;
- Amy Terrill, VP Research and Industry Relations, Music Canada and author of Music Cities;
- David Grice, CEO Musitec Creative Cluster Development, South Australia.
Music Cities convention will be held at Komedia, Brighton, on Wednesday 13 May.
